Thank you for stopping by to read my profile. I look forward to meeting you in therapy.

Hello and a warm welcome, I'm really pleased you're here. Before I begin, I need you to know that however you feel right now, you deserve to feel better. People I have helped tell me they feel anxious but they're not sure why. They feel like they're unlovable, often wearing a mask, and feel like they're going mad. If you feel the same, I assure you, you are not going mad.

About me and my practice

I work with unresolved trauma, (something I can personally relate to) figuring this out is something I will guide you through in therapy. Trauma can be terrible experiences in life (such as losing a parent or abuse), but it can also be things such as emotional neglect, an absent parent, or being bullied at school. In truth, anything that has an adverse effect on you could be considered trauma.

Im Natalie a neurodivergent, Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor with a passion for helping people like you heal from life's traumas. As a therapist, I put myself in your world to see through your eyes and the healing comes from the human-to-human connection in our relationship. My sole goal as a therapist is to help transform your life.

The client/therapist relationship is a confidential and empathic one. I listen to you while you explore your inner thoughts and feelings, guiding you to understand and make sense of them. I focus on your concerns and tailor my therapy skills to your unique needs. Side by side we explore your life experiences. Things have happened in life that you have struggled to overcome but whatever happened to you, its not your fault. Clients tell me that after therapy they feel better in themselves, psychologically lighter and ready to face lifes challenges head on.

Experience

I have a master's degree in psychotherapeutic counselling and fourteen years' experience in health care, working in various settings and positions. I have worked with families supporting loved ones with terminal and chronic illness. It can be awful to watch a loved one suffer, and I've supported many families going through this. I have supported individuals suffering life limiting conditions to help them process their feelings and emotions around their illness. I have spent the last four years supporting people with sexual abuse, rape, trauma and grief and bereavement. Many of my clients also struggle with drug/alcohol addictions, self-harm, PTSD, depression, suicidal ideation and anxiety alongside their trauma and we work on those things during therapy as well. I also welcome neurodivergent clients and have supported many neurodivergent clients, specifically ASD and ADHD in my practice.
